Westside Community Focus, Inc. is a non-profit corporation located in Portland, Oregon. Westside Community Focus provides independent living training, support, and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. Westside provides education and training through daily living at home or in apartment living situations. Training, assistance or guidance is offered in all daily living-skills, such as hygiene, housekeeping, food preparation, socialization, and money management. Programs are tailored to individual’s need, goals and abilities. The Supported Living Program also provides independent living support for clients who need help finding housing and accessing additional community support.  |
Our participants are individuals who primarily have developmental disabilities, but may also have physical disabilities or mental health issues. Participants range in age from 18 years of age and older. Participants are encouraged to be involved in a paid or volunteer day program. Participants can be referred to our programs from Clackamas, Multnomah or Washington County Mental Developmental Disabilities, Department of Human Services, School Districts, other community programs, self-referral or by family members.
Westside is a non-profit with a Board of Directors consisting of interested people from the greater Portland area and family members. Westside participants may also become active members of the Board. The Board is responsible for the overall operation of the corporation.
